I use Kaspersky internet security, saying that I also use Super anti spy ware and Malwarebyt for malware. I use these because B/C so often recommends them. All these put together I have no problems. The question is; is there another anti program that one should/could use at home with out help from a pro? I have looked in pinned items and found that the list is very old. Every time I log on to B/C I go to the Security Forum and keep track of what is new. (P/S Thank you garmanma and Grinler). Some would say if is not broke don't fix it. I'm want to try my best to stop my computer from getting broke. I don't want to have to contact jsosulski with a HijackThis Log.

This program may fit your needs if you're interested.
SpywareBlaster
It's a nice program to add to security. From my understanding of it, it uses zero resources.
After that, I'm not sure what else to add (if Kaspersky already has a built-in firewall, then there's no need for me to suggest one of those)
EDIT: Also to add, make sure that you check somewhere around every week or two for new definitions.

Malwarebytes is all you need for anti-malware.

Thank you Romeo29, scff249 for getting back to me. Kaspersky does have a firewall in Internet Security 2009. I will keep watching this site for some thing new. If I may add to those who are just browsing; it's easy to run scans on your computer; just do it when your having supper, taking a shower or any other thing you do. When you get back to your computer it's done. There the job is done and you didn't use up your B/C web site time.

You could consider adding a sandbox, such as Sandboxie (free/paid), GesWall (free) or DefenseWall (paid).
Also if you should always keep Windows and other software up to date, for example with Automatic Updates and Secunia Software Inspector. Switching to alternate software can also improve security, e.g. Chrome/Iron/Opera instead of IE, Foxit instead of Adobe, etc.
