Vista x64 freezes during windows updates

Hi BC.

I have a Vista x64 OS (manufacturer HP). I recently tried to do Windows Updates, and it wasn't working and first, so I found a hotfix and it worked. But, I downloaded all the updates, but when I try to install them, its stuck/frozen at "Installing Updates" .
