I've looked at other forums. And they just don't seem to work with my computer, I'll go on control panel and search for msn messenger and it won't appear. so i'll find the file it is contained in and delete it, remove it from the recycle bin. and then i'll go to reinstall it again, but it says i already have it. Any help? I unistalled it because it told me for 4 days running that the service was down. But i've only made it worse.

If you have the latest version of messenger, it’s under the Windows Live Essentials in your Add/Remove programs list. Click on that and uninstall and it gives you a pop-up window that asks which part of the Live Essentials you want to remove.
