Help
I have one old laptop P4 with 1GB Ram.
I had some problems with the XP previous old installation the system crashed and appear one blue screen. Because it was an old installation I have decided to format ant install again the XP.
After format the disk the installation started with some problems, when try to copy the files from CD to HD, in some files I had this message' the file was not copied correctly...) for almost 10 files then I pressed skip and the installation continued, after that the system crashes again and I get the blue screen.
The windows CD is in good condition.
Please somebody help me.
I think the problem can be the HD, there is any chance to test the disk without XP installed.

You could download the diagnostic program fro the support site of the hard drive manufacturer for your computer
I would still suspect a scratched CD
You might try cleaning the CD drive lens, gently

I've tried 3 diferent CDs and 1 was new. The problem is not the cd.

Problem solved, was the RAM.
