I've used blender and the interface drove me crazy!!!! Now about ideas.....are you looking for ideas for a game? Well, I guess you should start with a small arcade game or something. If you really want to use physic, go for a simple racing simulation. It must be like, you know, who takes/drifts around a specific turn perfectly......you get points based on how perfectly you drifted. And of course, doesn't that involve physics?
