BleepingComputer.com: Wireless router odd problem

I recently bought a wireless router... Everything is set up correctly, except one laptop (vista) can connect to the network, but the internet wont work.

The router is connected to wall by ethernet cable, and my desktop is connected to the router by ethernet also. My Mac laptop can connect to the network and go on the net etc, my friend in the next room can connect his mac desktop and his mac laptop.. But this vista laptop in the same room just doesnt want to play. The router is vista compatible, but when I connect the vista laptop to the network, nothing which uses the internet works. Any ideas on how to fix this?

sounds like it might be a firewall issue, have you gone into the router and made sure its not blocking it? and I know this is a stupid question, but have you used the windows network setup wizard, and have all the network options setup correctly on the vista laptop?

Even though the router is Vista compatible, you might want to look at this post by usasma regarding the DHCP Broadcast flag. In particular, see the last link in that post (for Microsoft Help and Support regarding the DHCP Broadcast flag):

Also some routers have a limit to how many simultaneous connections are allowed. Make sure your setting is high enough. Or turn off a few machines and try to connect the Vista machine see if it works.
