BleepingComputer.com: BSOD! on vista! not sure what to do!

Hi there guys, I'm getting a BSOD everytime I start up vista on my laptop. I had a few 3D simulators installed as well as some artificial voice generator (kinda like Microsoft Sam or w/e) and after uninstalling them, I've got this BSOD ever since.. Whenever I start up Vista in normal standard mode, as soon as I log in I get this BSOD.

On the actual BSOD, I get this message:

*** STOP: 0X0000008E (0XC000000J, 0X8BDA092D, 0X9AEC2000, 0X00000000)

I have no idea in hell what that means, any help at all would be greatly appreciated..

I can't save my events viewers errors as a text file as I keep on getting a "snap-in unavailable" error. Apparently the only way to fix that is by doing a repair installation of Vista, which im gonna do now..

please guys any help at all would be greatly appreciated... i need my laptop back and running with its files asap, i've got exams in a few weeks and all my files are on here, and I dont wanna be going through safe mode...

i wasnt able to do a repair install as my laptop wont run in normal mode, and only works in safe mode. As soon as I log in, in normal mode, my desktop and taskbar appear and a few seconds later i get BSOD. There's no driver details in it, just that message which I typed in the first post along with all the standard memory dumping etc stuff

I would test the RAM with Mem Test and see what that tells you. RAM issues can prevent you from logging in. Let us know.

I dont think RAM would be an issue, I manage to log in, and i see all of my desktop, wallpaper and taskbar with icons, it's just a few seconds after that when i see the BSOD.
I ran a virus scan not too long ago with Avast and it turns out that i had a virus and/or some spyware. A trojan horse some win32 related thingy came up on avast, and i know i had spyware because my internet browser kept on redirecting randomlly to other sites (in safe mode). The redirecting problem has gone now.... I ran hijack this and got rid of all the dodgy files (i've used hijack this before, i know a fair bit about it) and i also disabled "elby cdio driver" in device manager. (This file kept on comign up in events viewer's errors, and upon further research I noticed that it's from Virtual Clonedrive (a software, which itself has no spyware, but which leaves a loophole through which a virus can access it or w/e ).

I had to view the hidden files on device manager in order to disable it, and ever since I've run Hijack This, cleaned my cookies and disabled that file, there have been no redirections in my internet browser (firefox) .

Even after all this though, my laptop still wont fully log on in normal mode without a BSOD coming up....

Any ideas guys?
