my cd-dvd drive is not recognizing any discs when they are inserted. it will play them, but the name does not come up ( it used too)it also will not auto play them automatically ( it used too). i have to click on it and open it up10dc5c3766d5437 instead of the title being cd-dvd drive the title now says dvd- ram drive. it also says that this drive is full when you click on properties, where is says type it only says cd

I noticed that you have a HJT log posted
If you,by chance, happened to have run Combofix, it disables autorun by design.
It is recommended that the option be disabled because of the new virus threats using the autorun.ini file

It is also recommended that you do not make any changes to your computer unless instructed by the HJT team member who is helping you

why won't my laptop work?

Having grandkids is God's way of giving you a 2nd chance because you were too busy working your butt off the 1st time around
Do not send me PMs with problems that should be posted in the forums. Keep it in the forums, so everyone benefits
