Ok my download speed is slower then dial-up im only getting between 9kbps and 15kbps. my friends dad told me it had to be something internal because my connection speed is good. But thats all he told me.. nothing on how to deal with it.. Please help!!! I have Pentium 4 3.5 ghz 1gb ram win xp pro. With Wildblue satellite services. Were supposed to be getting 1600kbps
I Have Mozilla Firefox and when i try to get IE7 Something goes wrong and i get IE provided by myspace

Download speed: 130.44 (16.30) 100%
Upload speed: 26.45 (3.30) 100%
Surfspeed inside United States: 71.78 (8.97) 100%
Surfspeed average (worldwide): 60.59 (7.57) 100%
Surfspeed outside United States: 42.00 (5.25) 100%
Latency: 4414 milliseconds
Thast what i got from that website.. so my download speed is actually 16.30kbps.. That explains my situation.. thanks again

Any idea's why my Intenet Explorer say's it's provided by myspace?? I just downloaded IE8 just to see if it still said that and it did.

1. try to optimize your Internet Explorer
http://support.we-host.com/index.php?page=OptimizeIE

2. try to optimize your system also
http://www.microsoft.com/athome/moredone/optimize.mspx

3. Scan you computer for checking any virus and spyware.

I suggest using this site to check your speed: http://www.numion.com/YourSpeed3/Select.php

Louis

Bear in mind that, IME, you will seldom get what is promised, since speeds vary according to time of day, number of users, etc.
