Hi.
i use mercury ups.
when there is a power cut, my computer is first switching off.
then it is restarting using the back up of ups. (the purpose of ups is unattended as i cant save my documents.)
i got it examined by a local electronics guy, he says the battery is good, but there could be a problem with the relay.
Look forward for your expert comments and solutions.
Thanks and regards.

if the local expert says its a bad relay, I would go with that. either that or the computer uses to much power for the UPS.
