I am using a 5 button MS Optical Intellimouse, since getting the 5 buttons I don't believe I could go back to the 3 button.

I have yet to figure out what the purpose of a wireless mouse & keyboard is without a wireless monitor my monitor cable is only about 4-6ft. long so I have to sit in front of my monitor I might just as well plug the mouse and keyboard in also. :flowers:

Maybe some of these young whippersnappers can enlighten me. :trumpet: :inlove:

Sounds like a good question for the Hardware Forum.

I have the Microsoft Explorer Trackball. I like the big red ball for one finger surfing on the web.

My wife just got the new VAIO Laptop and we purchased the wireless MS Laptop Mouse... very nice.

I have a Genius Wireless optical mouse with 5 buttons (3 of which I don't use) a scroll wheel (best thing since sliced bread) and a battery charger built in to the receiver. If it didn't have a battery charger it would eat a set of batteries a week. Works great, but!

It was a combo with a wireless keyboard which has just gone crazy and had to be shot. There were issues with it which I'm wondering if they are common to all wireless keyboards -
1. There was a really annoying delay between pressing shift and getting capitals to type.
2. At random times it would repeat the last key over and over and over and ... you get the idea.

I just got an optical mouse for $14.99 and I am very pleased with it. The one that came with my puter--with the ball--got to the point where it refused to cooperate. Sure, I'd love to have a wireless laser......but I don't have the lattitude for the price of one.

Yes I'm not the only one here with a laser mouse. :flowers:

Yea who knows, they might invent some other technological mouse in the future than can run off of brain waves. (I think they have done something similar to this for be with disablitiies.)

I got a silly old ball mouse and am going to get a optical one soon. (there is one that was on another computer that I used to own but dad made me give it up with the computer, don't mind too much since the computer that replaced the other one was new)

And as to other technology some one has devaloped a "mouse" that follows your nose and to click you wink.
