I did a complete backup to an ESATA drive.

Then I split my RAID therefore I can not do a full restore because of size. (if I ever get to the backup)

I just want to retrieve some of the files from the complete backup.

Problems:
From within Vista the ESATA backup is not seen. Using Advanced (restore from another computer) I see the drive but it says unable to find any backup sets.

From Vista Restore CD the ESATA backup is not seen.

There seems to be no way to point the restore to different drives.

Is there some way to simply extract files from the backup?

Edit:
I downloaded a copy of WinMount and it appears I will be able to get the files.

HA ... Good old WinImage opens the .vhd file.
