I have a lexmark x1270 copier, scanner and printer. I want it hooked up for the scanner feature. I have down loaded the driver and have it plugged into the usb port but my PC is trying to use it as a plug and play device. Not sure what to do. I have a HP pavilion a1410y running windows xp professional.

Thanks

Did you plug the scanner in before installing the software?
That's usually not the way to do it with USB connections

There's really no description, but it's the only download I could find for your model
