I was trying to add a shortcut to Firefox in SuSE 9.1 personal with Kmenuedit. It added to shortcut, but also added another set of shortcuts that I already had. I tried to get rid of the extra set of shortcuts with Kmenuedit, but the internet category expanded to be empty even though the shortcuts were in the menu. Since it was empty, I added all to shortcuts back. When I saved it, the internet section in my menu was gone and I have multiple Firefox shortcuts. :flowers: What did i do wrong? Is there someway to reset this?

Thanks

EDIT: Another problem, logging in as root goes to the YaSt tool. If I click close, then it logs out. So I'm sort of locked out of root.

Hucker, are you trying to set a shortcut on the desktop, panel/taskbar, or KDE menu?

As for root, yes it's going to log you out when you exit yast. The way to go superuser is at the login where it has user name type: root than your root password. Superuser through konsole, type: su. It will ask for you password. A bit of advice: You can do everything that you need to through the yast module.

Get back with me on the link because I'm not sure what you're really asking for, sorry.

I was trying to add the shortcut the the KDE menu. I was thinkinh that since root's menu is normal, there would be someway to delete my profile (but just for the menu) and SuSE would create a new one and fix the menu.

Thanks
