Hi there,
My PC is currently giving me a very hard time in starting up as I keep getting a number of BSOD. My system info is below & details of the BSODs in the order I received them is also below. Any help is hugely appreciated!
System Info:
OS: Windows XP pro SP 3
CPU: AMD Athlon 64 processor 3200+
RAM: 1.50GB RAM
Motherboard: Gigabyte GA-K8NSC-939
Video Card: NVIDIA GeForce 7600GS (512MB)
BSOD info:
Sometime last week I had a BSOD which stated 'Driver IRQL not less or equal' however I did not take down the error code. Then once I restarted after about 1 hour of use I had the BSOD 'Page Fault in nonpaged area' again I didn't take down the error code but I read that this could possibly be due to memory issues so I ran 'Windows Memory Diagnostic' software and performed a check disk however no issues were found.
All was fine until today as I continuously was getting BSODs as below; when starting up I would keep selecting 'Load up with Last known configuration that worked' but even then I would sometimes get a BSOD. Eventually I managed to load up & post this topic to see if anything can be done!
First BSOD: Driver IRQL not less or equal
Error Code: 0x000000D1 (0x000000CD, 0x00000002, 0x00000000, 0xB970B507)
Then on restarting the following:
Second BSOD: PFN List Corrupt
Error Code: 0x0000004E, (0x0000008F, 0x00000000, 0x0004FC9A, 0x00000000)
On restarting again:
Third BSOD: A driver has corrupted the memory management system PTES
Error Code: 0x000000DB (0x04568B6D, 0x00000002, 0x00000001, 0x8054404A)
My hard drive is quite full and I'm currently trying to remove any unnecessary files. Just had a pop-up stating Virtual Memory Minimum too Low (was set to 1000 - 2000 MB).
Thanks again for any help!!
Jane
