Hi,

My external hard disk could not be detected by my laptop. I am using vista and WD external hard disk. I've already plugged in and out many times, changed the USB cable, plug in at different USB slots.. it still didn't appear at "my computer" and also not under disk management..

and few hours later, the "installing device driver software" starts appearing many times and tells me that it was not successfully installed..

can someone help me?

Right click on My computer > Go to manage > device management > uninstall all the USB and Restart the computer after restart the computer then check the External Drive is detecting or not.
