Everytime I login to windows, Internet Explorer runs in the background. I see no window open. When I open task manager, I see multiple instances of iexplorer.exe running. If I just ignore it, then every so often, I will get an error saying Internet explorer has encountered a problem and needs to close.

Also, if i leave my computer sitting there, even more instances of iexplorer.exe open, losing focus of a current window which is in focus, yet still, no visible window of internet explorer is open.

Here is a screenshot of process explorer
