I know there's been other issues, but mine seems a little different. I tried using the command prompt, access denied (I'm admin account), I downloaded the drivers suggested before reinstalling my printer. and I tried going through services. Won't let me reinstall my printer software until I start the spooler. My printer is a lexmark x2250. Computer is a hard drive that came from my old HP, everything else is seperately bought. Also ran spybot and avast, nothing. So none of the mainstream fixes have worked for me. any suggestions?

Have you tried running the Command Prompt as an Administrator?
Go to Start and type in "cmd.exe" (without the quotes)
At the top of the search box will be an entry for cmd.exe, right click on that and select "Run as administrator"
Then try to start the Spooler from there.
Have you tried uninstalling all the HP software for the printer then installing the freshly downloaded stuff?
