Dell Inspiron E1705 Sound doesnt work

I have tried everything, even replacing the speakers, re-installing drivers and I cant get sound from the speakers or the headphone jack.

What does Device Manager reflect for the sound function?

Of course...your sound chip could always be on the blink.
