Under Vista SP1, mpg videos play OK with ATI Catalyst Media Center and Video Redo but not with Windows Media Center or Pinnacle Studio V9. The problem with the latter two programs is that, although the audio does play, it is corrupted with frequent loud crackling noises. The video content is fine, however. Windows Media Center plays other video formats normally -- the problem is specific to mpg files. So I suspect a driver or codec problem but don't know how to proceed. Any suggestions?
