I think you mean vcore voltage ?

A DIMM is a memory stick.

What model phenom 2 do you have ?
OCZ StealthXstream 700W,Gigabyte GA-EP45-UD3R , E8500, Arctic Freezer Pro 7, 3GB G.Skill PC8500,Gigabyte Radeon HD 4850 OC [1GB ], Seagate 250GB SATA II X2 in RAID 0, Samsung SATA DVD burner.

Ah yes, You are correct.

Since I don't build AMD units I tend to forget that.

yes i did as a matter of fact. i found this link, if u look close, it mentions a 1.8v dimm, but does not clearly state that 1.8v is the limit.

http://www.amd.com/us-en/Processors/Techni...5E15363,00.html

i had some ocz ddr2 1066 on a ol' p35, and ocz themsleves said i could go up to 2.1v, and i did, and got it up to 1147. perhaps the amd's are designed so well that it is not an issue? perhaps the mobo and the memory itself are always the limiting reagents for voltage? perhaps thats wishful thinking?

im almost ready to call them, but im sure whoever answers the phone there doesnt know either

Make sure to read the whole thread and others on the subject that are on the boards. I can tell you from experience that 1.8 does not seem to be the limit as I have been running my second pc with OCZ 1066 at 2.0 for a while now and my vcore is 1.35.

I thought I'd help you out as this is not really the place for hardware problems. I had a similar experience a while back with some PSU's that went bad in a very odd manner and no one had any Ideas either...they were both bad.

I should have said, this is not a hardware enthusiast site. I was being polite though
