First off, I suggest fixing your links since they are all broken. Second, your memory, though it will work, should be a little faster for better performance. The G.SKILL 4GB (2 x 2GB) 240-Pin DDR2 SDRAM DDR2 1066 (PC2 8500) memory should work. Also, your video card will not SLI with that motherboard since it supports ATI's Crossfire. You'll also need Windows Vista 64-bit to use all the RAM. You will be using an AM3 processor in an AM2+ board, you may need to flash the BIOS to get it to work. Combos can be great for saving cash, but occasionally they can mean reductions in performance that may be worth the extra cost. Other than these few relatively minor issues, the PC seems solid

1. Sorry about the links. I fixed that.

2. Should I use a different motherboard or a different video card. I'm used to AMD/nVidia but I'm open to other things. Also I'm not looking to get an awesome card/board, just something will last awhile and present decent graphics.

Thanks for the help.

Your power supply is underpowered if you're wanting to SLI or Crossfire, so if you seriously wanted to do that down the road, you should get a more powerful one. That said, if you don't really see yourself using SLI or Crossfire, you can keep the card you've got. However, if you are wanting to do Crossfire or SLI, you have two choices.

1. Keep the NVidia card but change the motherboard. The ASRock K10N780SLIX3-WiFi AM2+/AM2 NVIDIA nForce 780a SLI ATX will work. You will need to use DDR2-1066 memory, the link that is in my previous post is the appropriate memory, with that motherboard.

or...

2. Get an ATI card and keep the motherboard. The SAPPHIRE 100245L Radeon HD 4850 is a very good card for about the same price as the 9800GT you had originally. Check out reviews to compare its performance.
