On some DVD-ROM's, I get a message "ERROR - CYCLIC REDUNDANCY CHECK" when trying to recode a video with Nero 6.6 Ultra. Does anyone know what this means? Is it a hardware issue or something with NERO?

A cyclic redundancy check error means that something went a little caca when you were downloading/copying. It's a mathematical process to check the integrity of the data. I'm not sure what you mean by "recode." Are you trying to copy DVD's? Are they encrypted? It might just be that you're trying to burn too fast. Try lowering your burn speed.
