Posted Image When posting a log please put the type of infection you have in the topic title. IE: Winfixer, Virtumonde, WinTools, WebSearch, Home Search Assistant, etc.

Hi
I am experiencing many computer problems that are likely the effect of a worm or virus? The symptoms are as follows: IE browser redirects - often get redirected to product sites during Google seraches or other times, also IE will just close automatically sometimes). I cannot install new software - program executables will not run or will start to run and then there is a windows installer error. Tried to install Trend Micro Internet Security 2009 and Turbo Tax 2008 with these problems. I downloaded/installed the latest Windows Installer 4.5, but problems persisted. Also regedit will close automatically a few seconds after it is started. I have run the latest Spybot 1.6.2 and Ad-Aware v8.0.3 Free Anniversary Edition and they have come up with nothing. I am running Trend Micro PC-Cillan Internet Security 2006, last updated in September 2008. Subscription ran out and I did not renew (shame on me!!). Here is the HJT log.
