Problem With Macbook

Hi There,

I was hoping you might be able to help with a problem my son has with his Macbook.

As of a couple of days ago he has been unable to connect to the internet and were not sure why. Both him and me use the same Netgear wired router and I have no problems and his mate conneted his own laptop to the cable my son uses and also han no problem connecting to the internet. If its any help my son has been using Safari and Firefox.

I would be grateful of any help
