BleepingComputer.com: cant detect certain disks

Hello
Hopefully this is the rifgt forum . The problem I have is this.
- i can read certain types of cd's and dvd,s.
- i recently bought new cd,s and dvd,s different from the initial ones.
- i cant burn any data or movies to either types
- it says please insert media to drive, the disks are in! when i click on the drive properties it shows 0 space used and o space available.

The disks in question are
.Staples business depot dvd+r
-ridata cd,s

Can someone please tell me how yo burn data to a dvd. ( not movies ) I would like to copy text files to a dvd to cut down on the number of cd,s im using.

What program are you using in your attempted burn efforts?

-i use convertxtodvd to burn movies, it seems to be easy to use , it converts and burns after to disk,very simple.
- to burn documents and pictures i just use whatever windows provides. never really thought i had to use a different program.

I, myself, have never used the XP burn capability.

Many users burn software, as opposed to using the native capability, merely because there is plenty of software that makes burning disks easy and free of problems.

You might want to try one of those programs to see if your situation improves.
