connecting to internet after fresh system install

I have a lime green imac, circa1999, its been in cupboard for two years. I have wiped hard drive and performed fresh system install off cd. Problem is :- Internet Set up Assistant only has links to old offers such as BT that no longer exist. How do I get on Internet? Please help

You can pick up an internet-access CD in most computer stores and they are often found inside computer magazines -- just check the CD is Mac compatible - and if you come across an AOL CD use it only as a coaster - you definitely do not want AOL on your system!
