Okay, I know that LimeWire is generally evil but is it better with Vista? It's hard to not download all that free music.

No subject matter will be allowed whose purpose is to defeat existing copyright or security measures. This would also mean encouraging the use or continued use of pirated software is not permitted, and subject to the same consequences.
Limewire is never going to be better + it is not related to Windows so will not get better with a new OS release.
It is the main way that people computers become infected with all sorts of nasties.
I would recommend that you don't use it unless you are ready to clean up the mess it can create.

Limewire is (IMO) a well designed program. But like any file sharing application, you don't know what you're getting from the people who you're sharing with. 90 to 95% of the computers with Limewire that I see at work are infected.
At work we tell them that the "free" music is very expensive when you have to pay us to remove the viruses.

I used limewire for a couple of months. Downloaded movies and music. On my Vista OS. Then my computer stoped working correctly. Lots of errors were poping up. When I took it to a computer repair store. I have virus inffected my computer. It cost me 60 dllrs to correct the situation. Now I have a zune pass and a zune to download all the content I want and take it with me. Its better and safer. DO NOT USE LIMEWIRE.

Agreed, Limewire app is OK, the shared files are full of spyware.
Most of the PC's we get in for repair for viruses (i.e. usually 500+ spyware/virus threats) have Limewire installed and have downloaded illegal music / videos.
Advice is to not even think about it, legal options like iTunes Store or Zune store etc are much better, and theres something nice about spending your money on something, satisfaction that you are not downloading viruses maybe...

As my family's tech person, i've almost refused to allow limewire on our computers. It slows it down, and you can't keep viruses out, even if you check filesize or whatever.
Vista really wouldn't help it out, unless you perhaps have the UAC(user account control) on. Its still not worth it... especially if you don't know and have the resources to reinstall your OS after a few weeks of using it.
