My Microsoft Word 2002 has been acting strange lately, so I went to the Microsoft Office website, and I noticed that it requires that I install Office XP Service Pack 3.
So my question is....Will updating to the Office XP Service Pack 3 be the same as updating my Windows XP Professional Service Pack 2 operating system to Service Pack 3?
I'm a bit confused...

Any version of Microsoft Office...has it's own updates, just as any version of Windows has its own.
The two are not related, each is a separate entity.
Since you have some version of Office installed, there should be Office updates for you to install...along with the updates for your version of Windows.

Okay...that's all I wanted to know. I wanted to make sure I wouldn't be updating my Windows XP SP2 to SP3 if I updated my Office XP.
Thanks!
