Help
I am in the process of fixing a friends computer that has Vista installed. The computer is very slow, would freeze and occasionally get the BSOD. I performed many Anti-Virus scan's and it detected a couple of trojans which I removed. Also did disk clean up, disk check, sfc/scannow, deleted cookies, temp files, defrag, Updated the video card driver, deleted some old programs and files. I turned off some services and start up items. This all seems to have really helped the overall performance and speed. I am trying to multi-task, to see if the BSOD will come back and so far it hasn't. It does randomly freeze sometimes, but I think most Vista machines do this. Any tips on speeding up the shutdown as it just hangs for a few minutes before turning off. Thanks.
