I seem to be having a problem with Spybot's teatimer. Whenever an alert dialog box pops up, it is somehow not complete.

I'm guessing that I will need to do a complete re-install.
I have just recently installed the latest version: Spybot S&D 1.4
This did not occur with the previous version.
My O.S. is Win. ME
Browser is IE 6.0

I am having the same problem Scarlett. Are you using Windows blinds or something? Have you tried to unload it? I use wondowsblinds too. I was thinking about doing a new install myself. I get the exact same look. When I first installed the new version I chose to install teatimer at the same time. Thinking maybe I shouldn't have. Maybe I should have reinstalled teatimer separately.

That's what I'd try first scarlett, an uninstall, then reinstall of Spybot.

As Pandy suggested, try installing the basic, then add Teatimer and SDHelper after the install.
That's the way I do it.

I've also read of some having troubles with Spybot if they did the updates during the install.
Try waiting till after the install is complete, before updating.

censored2.gif I should of turned off tea timer first before un-install!! The &^%%#%$ corrupt alert dialog box keeps popping up. As it is, I can not click on it!

Help! What do I do now??
Edit: I wonder if I removed all files and folders, maybe even all reg entries.
(although I do not really want to do that) Would that help?

I don't know Scarlett.. you uninstalled Spybot and it is still running the teatimer?? Maybe a reboot will stop it?

Yes I un-installed spybot through add/remove. And yes tea-timer is still running. I click to close the alert and another one pops up, then another, etc. There seems to be no end to them. Since the buttons do not work or are even visible, on the alert dialog box. It is impossible to perform any action on it.

I guess for now, I will do a re-boot.
Maybe I should consider removing it from startup's.
That brings up an alert as well, though. Shrug

OK a re-boot got rid of the alert popup(s).
Before re-boot, I also removed tea-timer from my startups.
I am now considering, removing all files and folders, through search.
In hopes of having a complete, clean re-install.
Which will only be a basic in-stall:
Tea-Timer, SD-helper and any and all updates will be added later.

So far so good (I think. Lol)

Removed Tea-Timer from startups

Removed all files and folders

Re-boot ( In order to end the still running Tea-Timer) pop-ups, after the un-install.

Did a basic install.

Activated Tea-Timer and S&D Helper after.

D/L updates after also.

I wish I knew Scarlett. I can't get rid of the weather bug because I can't click what I need when the alert comes up. I found this at the Spybot forum at Net-Integration. Try it and see if it works next time it comes up Scarlett.

http://forums.net-integration.net/index.ph...ndpost&p=150114

Let us know how it goes. smile.gif

EDIT~

Scarlett. I tried the solution that was suggested in the thread I linked you to above. It worked. What I did was use HjT to remove the weatherbug.exe. As soon as I did the Spybot dialogue box came up. I pushed the A button and it finally allowed the change. LOL WooHoo! I will still be able to use the Teatimer now while I am waiting for the fix for this glitch. w00t.gif
