Hello, everyone! I have done some forum searches and have yet to see a topic with this issue, so here goes.

Recently, I have been uninstalling applications that have been just sitting there and taking up space. One such application I recently got rid of was Studio 10 from Pinnacle. The uninstallation went well; however, upon attempting to uninstall the Studio 10 "Bonus DVD", which takes up a lot of space, I get the following error message:

An error (-5004 : 0x7e) has occurred while running the setup. Please make sure you have finished any previous setup and closed other applications.

Error Code: -5004 : 0x7e
Error Information:
>SetupDLL\SetupDLL.cpp (1928)
pAPP:Studio 10 Bonus DVD
PVENDOR:Pinnacle Systems
PGUID:6A012D9C-2E2E-405A-B87C-E909F5297C3F
$7.1.100.1280
@Windows XP Service Pack 3 (2600) IE 8.0.6001.18372

I have been searching for hours for a solution, but unfortunately to no avail. Any assistance or help would be greatly appreciated!

Thank you! :thumbsup:

Have you tried uninstalling it in Safemode?
Another thing to try in the Windows Installer Cleanup Utility:
http://support.microsoft.com/kb/290301
Look for anything labeled Pinnacle and check the box to remove it

I tried the Windows Installer Cleanup Utility, and for some reason the Pinnacle Studio program isn't on the list.

I'll look up and attempt to uninstall it in safe mode now. Thanks!
