So, I want the easiest way to scan documents to PDF. Preferably with Adobe's own software, as I will be installing Acrobat Pro for someone.

What are the best options? Does the scanner need OCR capability? Is this functionality built into Acrobat Pro?

From Adobe Pre-Sale:

I can simply scan a document in and convert to pdf. I wasn't aware that it was that easy, however, I suspect some drawback doing it without OCR software.

sure does. I was being lazy, but then I suppose the effort in typing here compared to searching google, would have been about the same.

Oh well.

Thanks for the help
