Anyone played it yet?

If you haven't heard about it, Quake Live is an online browser-based version of Quake III with updated textures and models. When you set up an account, you are tested to determine your skill level...then the auto-match feature finds game servers just right for your skills. The game also has bots for offline practice.

And it's free!

I've played a bit, not much yet though. Not a lot of time these days. But a good ol' fashioned frag fest now and again is a lot of fun.

Thanks for the suggestion! I’ll check it out. Maybe we could post some screenshots for the others to check out.

Cheers,

Betas are "risky" in the fact that they're not fully-developed yet and might have problems. That being said, they're also not going to colossally ruin your system, because they've more-than-likely been tested out before.
