I know you think you understand what you thought I said,
but I'm not sure you realize that what you heard is not what I meant!

Might be a Yank thing, but Classic

I think Democrats are in terms of the Political Spectrum around: Centre - Centre Left?

Very similar to the current Labour Government in the UK which is a Centre Left Party, I think quite a few Labour MP's could be compared to Zombies basically because they never show any common sense in their decisions, I'm left pulling my hair out trying to think why they have made some decisions.

Woody, I'm a Democrat but more to the center. I'm not the norm.. Here is a quote from Norman Thomas, he ran for President back in the 30's, maybe 40's, maybe both. He ran on the Socialist Party ticket..

Quote

The American people will never knowingly adopt Socialism. But under the name of 'liberalism' they will adopt every fragment of the Socialist program, until one day America will be a Socialist nation, without knowing how it happened.

That was from a speech in which he said he no longer needed to run for President.

About Obama, I'd feel better if he just stayed in Washington and got to work acting like a President. He's still flying around the country acting like he's campaining. (spelling?) We don't need an ombudsman, we need a President.

edit.. Ooops, got this subject mixed up with another one, sorry, but I do love the line from Bob Hope...

I don't get what's so funny about it......

As for my standing, I'm neither as I don't get myself involved in politics much.....I already have enough to deal with to bother with politics and all of that stuff.
