I have a acer e380 desktop running win xp pro version 2002 service pack 2.
I formatted the computer and managed to get all the drivers bsck except for the video controller. I went to acers website and got the specs for the computer and it says
Video - Nvidia MCP64.
I tried to download what i thought was the driver but get an error message saying : setup detected that the operating system in use is not win xp x 64 edition/vista 64 bit.
This may seem pretty simple and I know the answer is with the operating system but I am at a loss..

You need a driver for XP 32-bit, not XP 64-bit or Vista.
A Vista driver is not acceptable for XP, nor do XP drivers work for Vista.

I think you have integrated video, and the chipset driver should (fingers crossed) work. I looked for a driver on the NVidia site, but the drivers didn't jump out and bite me.

I am a retired Ford tech. Next to Fords, any computer is a piece of cake. (The cake, its not a lie)
