Hi my computer is running at 100% CPU even though nothing else is running. I have already run a full scan on my computer using Symantec Antivirus as well as Spybot in Safe Mode. A couple of things turned up in Spybot, but nothing in Symantec. I selected "fix selected problems" in Spybot, but when I logged back in in regular mode, I still had the same problem.

Do you have any recommendations?

Thanks
John

Are you sure all of your programs are closed down? How many processes are running? How much Physical Memory are you using?

Do you lag badly when your at 100% CPU?
I know this is not a virus- I had a similar problem on a 256 MB RAM on a Win XP. I'd like to see your situation before I try anything.

What process in the Task Manager is using the most CPU when it is at 100%.
The power of accurate observation is commonly called cynicism by those who haven't got it.
