BleepingComputer.com: Page File

C: Drive is 115gb. D: Drive is 34gb. The pagefile is on C and system managed.
What is the best setting, location, only one or one on each drive. RAM = 1GB

This all depends on the system's configuration and how strained your resources are when using the pagefile.

Presuming that the C: and D: drives are on the same physical hard drive, then system managed is likely to be your best bet. Vista does a much better job of managing the pagefile than XP did - so the old 1.5x rule really doesn't apply any more (IMO).

I've run Vista with a pagefile on a separate drive, and Vista with a pagefile on the same drive and haven't noticed much of a difference (but this is with plenty of RAM and fast SATA hard drives).

PC is not strained in any way and is running well.

I agree with usasma that system managed is best. If you have a 2nd physical drive, you will see a perfomance boost from using the non-windows drive for the pagefile.

DA, you may or may not. If you on the minimum, like a 1GB RAM on a Windows Home Premium, then most likely you will see the difference. But on a 4GB+ machine, I don't there the performance change is going to be less notable. Nevertheless, your performance will be enhanced, whether it may be slightly or majorly.
