BleepingComputer.com: error message

Hello,

I had just restarted my computer and swept for viruses before going to my blog when I got this error message in the pic below.

After I clicked OK, IE closed and started over on it's own. What does this error message mean, and is there anything I can do to avoid it? Also, it seems that my IE shuts down and restarts quite often. I know that there are other options, like Firefox, but I'm wondering what is causing my IE to act this way and if there is anything I can do to fix it?

Try to reset all your web settings (open IE, click tools, then click internet options. Click the advanced tab and hit both reset buttons.). Make sure you also have all your windows updates and try to update your JAVA while you are at it.

How do I update Java? Also, by doing the reset, is there any downside to doing that? Finally, how can I double-check to make sure that I have Windows updates set to automatically happen?
