That works! Thank you. I have some students who would love to have this software. Hasn't MS done this giveaway in the past?

Dreamspark has been out for college for a little while, but never at the high school level. This is brand new.
The computer teacher at the local school has been wanting to go from FrontPage to Expression Web. I told her that she should have each one of the students burn a copy to CD for safekeeping, and let her 'store' them for her. That way the school does not have to buy copies. ;) Whoops! https://www.dreamspark.com/HighSchool/Default.aspx -------------------- |

But are they all completely compatible with Mac OSX?
I doubt it, so it would be hard for my school to transfer over to it... -------------------- Q6600, 4GB g-skill, 8800GT, P5N-D motherboard ![]() My art |

QUOTE But are they all completely compatible with Mac OSX? I doubt it, so it would be hard for my school to transfer over to it... And they should not have to. If you are a High School student, and you have Windows at home, then you can get the software to use at home. My school here is a Windows shop, so I am trying to help them save some money. Even if your school is not a Windows shop, that does not mean that you can not get the software for use at home. -------------------- |

I was thinking it was more like the programs were for school computers to then have students work with at school, not take home and use on their own computers. If thats the case, i'll show it to my teacher at school too.

Hmm... strange. Perhaps it was a glitch, but I'm in High School and they gave me access to this... my Visual Studio instance is from here
Software does not need to be installed at your school. Once they verify that you have a school, with a report card or something similar, they will give you a key and an ISO download. I'm going to give this link to my previous HS- I know there are many interested, because I, myself was always trying to do some sort of Visual Studio stuff, but never got around to it cause I simply couldn't afford it.

Just as a note, it takes less than 5 minutes to register, and the only personal information needed by the faculty is their email for a contact. It should take less than 48 hours to verify everything.
