Any suggestions on any Free Photo editing programs out there? I'm using Picasa, which doesn't supply me with enough stuff to really do some hardcore editing.

Trying to find something like Adobe Photoshop CS4, or something atleast with similar features.

Thanks.

the GIMP(http://www.gimp.org/ ) is awesome and i find it easier to use than PS, but it takes some time to get used to where things are. Its not as feature rich, but its free.

Simplicity does it. Thank you. I was using FastStone. Didn't really like it.

I can't use anything other than GIMP or photoshop. I was started on PS CS at my school, but then I had GIMP for so long, i can use either. I like them both equally about. GIMP's sharpen is so much better than PS's, but it lacks a few brightening features that PS has, and doesn't have as many filters, but GIMP has some nice render filters that PS doesn't.

You mean, vector images?

Actually, after using illustrator, I import the .svg into GIMP to set it into a .jpg or more likely a .png. I love the array of items it can open/save as. It doesn't use them perfectly, but it can handle most .psd documents.

Definetly GIMP. You can even add scripts that let you do cool effects like lightsabers way faster.
