Disk (Ghost) Imaging Want to backup HDD

Does anyone know of any free disk imaging software?

I have two hard drives and don't really trust their stabillity. I want to backup my system drive so I don't lose all my purchased programs if the drive crashes.

EDIT: I want a program to have the ability to put it on a CD/DVD.

I use Acronis True Image, which isn't free, but have run across recommendations for some freeware. I haven't tried them out or used them so I can't recommend them with confidence--use at your own risk. Someone else who has used them may post how good they are.

This one includes burning to optical media:
Macrium Reflect FREE Edition

Not sure if this one will do a burn or not--you know you can always save the image file and then use a seperate software to burn it to CD/DVD:
DriveImage XML
http://www.runtime.org/driveimage-xml.htm

This one you have to pay for the commercial version to be able to burn CD/DVD's. The free version may have some features the others don't tho:

Macrium's Rlect is a pretty good program thanks for sharing it :thumbsup: . I used BartPE to make a rescue disk, but really don't trust it fully so i might just get another hard drive and clone my primary to it :flowers:.

ShadowProtect from Storage Craft is one of the best in my opinion and others. Unfortunately its not free either but is capable of reliably imaging your entire computer....applications, OS and all!! Many purport to do so but are clearly unable. See the pc mag review here.
