Hello all,
The past few weeks, I have had problems connecting to both the internet & email. Every so often when attempting to connect to t-bird or firefox, I get the message "thunderbird/mozilla is unable to connect to server". Usually it will connect after I "retry" however it has become very annoying.
I am running Windows XP Avira,SAS,Spyware Blaster,MBAM,Spybot,CCleaner. Nothing has been detected from any scan I have run. I have contacted my ISP with no success.
Could this be a firewall issue?? I have the standard windows firewall along with the firewall on my Linksys router enabled.
Any help would be appreciated
thanks!
P.S. Is SAS/MBAM enough ??? do I really need to have Spybot??

Hi,
It could well be firewall related. Try disabling your firewall and see if they can connect to the server.
I would reccomend uninstalling both products and reinstalling them one at a time, i had an issues with FF3 and a quick reinstall worked.

You would be you can back these up
Back-up Bookmarks
To Export the address book:
In the Address Book window, select the address book that you want to export.
Go to the "Tools" menu and select "Export...".
Enter a name for the address book, select "LDIF" from the drop-down list, choose where on your computer you want to save the address book, and then click to save the file.
To import the address book:
In the Address Book window, select the address book that you want to export.
Go to the "Tools" menu and select "Import"
Locate the file that you saved earlier and click ok/import.
