hello i have recently used my respawn disk that i got with my alienware pc my hard drive is 453gb my main concern is i did this and it basically whiped everything to factory settings but it is saying that i have used around 100 gb of my hard drive.. do any of you know why i cant find the files or anything to delete so basically its like i lost 100 gb of my hard drive for nothing im confused right now because when i did this i thought i would have gotten my hard drive space back can somone tell me were i would look to delete the extra files or whatever i know when i got the computer it had 420 space out of the 453 gb and now its at 364gb i would like the space back on my hard drive can somone tell me were i can look to delete it i cant find it anywere :thumbsup:

also i tried deleting my shadow copies thinking it would be the problem nothing happed disk cleanup will delete around 3 gb of it and i was planing on trying to defrag my hard drive dont think it will help either though

When you used the disks did yoiu get the option to delete the existing partition & reformat ?
OCZ StealthXstream 700W,Gigabyte GA-EP45-UD3R , E8500, Arctic Freezer Pro 7, 3GB G.Skill PC8500,Gigabyte Radeon HD 4850 OC [1GB ], Seagate 250GB SATA II X2 in RAID 0, Samsung SATA DVD burner.

Appears to be no such option. :thumbsup:

Did you follow the instructions exactly as shown below?

See this article on removing shadow copies in vista. Since you are doing a factory restore, they're no good for anything right off the bat anyways.
