media audio controller missing

hi.. i just want some help regarding the media audio controller.. after reformatting my PC, no sound comes out from my speaker.. the device manager says the media audio controller was missing.. i think this is the reason why im having trouble with the speaker.. i cant find the correct driver for it.. i've tried http://www.pcidatabase.com and these is what i've got.. Vendor Id: 0x10DE, Vendor Name: NVIDIA, Device ID: 0x006A...

hope you can help me.. please.. tnx..

What make & model is your computer ?
OCZ StealthXstream 700W,Gigabyte GA-EP45-UD3R , E8500, Arctic Freezer Pro 7, 3GB G.Skill PC8500,Gigabyte Radeon HD 4850 OC [1GB ], Seagate 250GB SATA II X2 in RAID 0, Samsung SATA DVD burner.

Try downloading Unknown Device Identifier and see if you can determine what type of sound adapter you have. You could also try going into device manager searching for anything that has a yellow exclamation point next to it. Right click on it and select update drivers and let windows connect to windows update to look for a driver. A default or generic driver may work. Posting your Make and model of computer will also help us determine what adapter you have.
