BleepingComputer.com: HP Laptop wireless issues and crashes

Hi,
I have an HP Pavillion dv9000t and the wireless connection is intermittent mostly requiring a restart to get a signal, and than responds less then average. is it possible the card has seen better days?

This was the first reason I called HP, because it was intermittent it was not a valid problem in their eyes. Now if I try to get service they snuff me, even though I'm under warranty.

They also took my laptop to replace the DVD drive and felt the need to format my HD, when I got it back it hasn't been right-- always crashing.

I wonder if the wireless card is bad, will it cause the crashes? It tends to crash if I'm downloading pretty much anything where a lot of information is being passed.

Finally if i should replacement can anyone suggest a reputable place to buy one? HP pn:412766-001
The fine folks at Hp suggested Bestbuy. I'm quite disappointed at Hewlett Packard's tech dept.
