I bought my son a new computer. He disconnected his old computer and had it on the floor before I realized it still had files on it I wanted to delete.
When I put it back together, his mouse (Logitech) was not recognized. I tried turning it off, unplugging the mouse and rebooting. Tried rebooting with mouse plugged in. It is a usb. Worked fine before.
Do I need to reload the drivers everytime it's unplugged?
My neighbor had the same problem with hers.

Is this a wireless logitech Mouse? What Model # is it?
Try another USB port. If you have the USB to PS/2 convertor you could try that.
I was going to get your to go into Device manager and remove the mouse, but that is hard to do without the mouse, unless you are comfortable with using all of the short-cut keys on the keyboard.
Your neighbor's problem may be just a coincidence.
Let us know.
