windows root system 32 don't know what is going on

my computer says this when turning it on <windows root>..system32..hal.dll.

it says could not start because the following file is missing or corrupt: please re-install a copy of the above file.

reinstall windows BUTTTTTTTTTTT
wait some else may have a better idea

You haven't said which system you are using. Win9x/ME has a System32 folder but its not used generally the System folder is. Doing a web search for this always brings up WinXP, you've posted in the wrong forum. Do a Google for hal.dll and read similar problems. Hal is Hardware Abstraction Layer.

HAL.DLL is Hardware Abstraction Layer (I think its a part of DirectX).

The problem, you have described, comes up when you first install Windows XP and later try to install Win98 trying to make your system dual boot (using some tricks). Now when you try to boot into Win98, the error pops up.

The only solution (that I know of is) to first install Windows 98 and later Windows XP.

yea that file not some thing you can replace from a downloaded one from the interent
