We wrote a guide today on how to remove a new rogue called System Guard Center. System Guard Center advertises itself as a all-in-one security suite that will protect your computer from privacy risks, errors, and spyware. As you can imagine, this software does not actually do what it advertises.

What it does do, though, is constantly display advertisements for other rogues such as Personal AntiSpy, Cleaner2009, RegistryDoctor 2008, and quite a few others. As a bonus, when it displays these advertisements, if you click on the pop-up, it will automatically install it on your computer without your permission. A brief excerpt of the guide is shown below:

System Guard Center is a rogue from the same family as Cleaner2009 and SystemBooster 2009. It pretends to be a all-in-one security suite that will check your computer for privacy risks, spyware risks, and errors. In reality, though, this computer will display false or exaggerated security issues on your computer rather than any legitimate ones.
