Hi,

I've just re-installed my Vista OS and have plenty of backups from it's previous incarnation.

However, when I go to use the current Vista instillations backup utility to restore backups from the previous instillation I get a "Can not access these files" thingy.

Does anyone know how to access previous Vista instillation backups?

It's the same Vista/key but a new instillation.

Is there a way?

Thanks,

John

Have you tried the Advanced Restore option and selected Advanced restore (Restore files from a backup made on another computer)?
